This TV does not have a matte screen like many other LCD HDTVs, note that the c8000 LED has an incredibly shiny screen, making it difficult to watch in a bright room, but Real Black Filter kills the glare much better than the c7000 plasma I saw at BB. the real 3D content still looks very great even though you use a 1 point 3 high speed HDMI cable. it doesn’t has much screen glares compared with C8000. PN58C8000 are light and thin, much lighter than previous plasmas. it’s a smart design since I could flush mount it to the wall without the TV sticking out, it is because the HDMI outlets on the side and that area recessed. I can tell you I hear none (I even temporarily put the mute on to see if there was a noticeable sound). the user guide book said that it will has a louder humming sound if the brightness is set too high, but in a normal brightness it will sound normal. My brightness is set at 45 and I hear none what so ever. The design is more efficient than others. PN58C8000 samsung is lighter in weight.
